The Day of Heritage
The theme of this year is the discovery of the stone and the water. Difficult to evoke water in Dijon without celebrating the famous engineer of Dijon, Henry Darcy. All inhabitants from Dijon know the square and the park which have his name, but they don't know the tank situated under the square. However it is the first tank of drinking water in Dijon. This water seams to be lacking in the city, but it spurts out in several places. We can say that it is the stone which highlights the water thanks to wells, ponds, wash houses, canals... The marriage of both elements offers a beautiful image of Dijon: the Libération square.
On September the 20th and the 21th, Dijon opens its doors to make you discover its treasors, hidden the rest of the year.

3st Edition of Velotour
With laps full of surprises, Dijon Velotour is an unusual hike, accessible for everybody, with free speed. Incredible itineraries in unexpected places: shopping center, factory, prison, underground parking, hotel Sofitel La Cloche, gardens, museum, town council, school, gym, velodrome, Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne... The laps are adaptable between 15 and 30 km. Jugglers, music groups, waders, tasting of local products, dressing-up clothes, percussionnists, all is planed for the party!
Come with us to blow the cobwebs from the bikes on sunday, september the 14th.

Concerts make a comeback
Since 2002, with France Bleu Bourgogne as partner, Dijon offers every year, to Dijon's inhabitants, the occasion to end their holidays with a concerts evening, dedicated to the emerging artists of actual musics.
For the 2007 edition, Akhab and Mulet Mulet was in the program, like Jacques Higelin. Unanimously appreciated by the public and the artists, this evening has welcomed more than seven thousand persons.
On friday, September the 5th, from 20h30 to 00h30, Place de la Libération.
